Greenland Awarded Cooling Tower Replacement Project

HAMPTON, VA — The Virginia Department of General Services has selected Hampton-based Greenland Enterprises to replace two cooling towers and necessary connections to the main condenser water piping system at the 15 Story, James Madison Building on Governor Street in Richmond. The $425,000 project is the latest in a series of contracts awarded Greenland in 2015.

“This project is in an area where we have extensive experience,” says company president Elton Roller, Jr.  “While it’s not as large as our typical central plant upgrade, cooling towers are specialized installations and we are glad to see the commonwealth recognize our experience.”

Greenland is a specialized design-build contractor focusing on the design, development, renovation and construction of central utility plants, combined heat and power plants, and modular chilled water systems.  The company is headquartered in Hampton, Virginia with regional offices in Raleigh, NC and Boston, MA.  More information is available at www.GreenlandEnterprises.com.
